2016 Competition Entries

The Elkhart County Symphony announces the deadline for entry for the 30th Annual ECSA Concerto Competition, which will take place on Sunday January 10, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church, Elkhart. Applications will be accepted with a postmark no later than December 12, 2015, or the applicant may call the symphony at (574) 293-1087. The winner will be featured as soloist on the February 21, 2016 at 4:00 pm as we celebrate 30 years of offering this unique experience to students in our CELEBRATE YOUTH – WHERE DREAMS ARE BORN! concert.

2015 Competition Winners

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of the 29th Annual Concerto Competition which was held on January 11th, 2015. Jewon Oh, Violin, and Junior at Penn HS was the GOLD Award Winner in the 2015 Concerto Competition. He was the featured soloist with the Elkhart Symphony on February 16, 2015, in the Lerner Theater for an audience of over 600.

The SILVER Award winner was Abigail Alwine, Violist and Junior at Concord Senior High School. The BRONZE Award went to Lauren Weirich , Violinist at Elkhart Central High School.
